Bad Weather Shelter

Last night, our church hosted the Bad Weather Shelter here in Pasadena. It is our second year doing it. We basically set up all the beds and then make and serve the meal for all those who come. It is such a great opportunity to serve and also makes you so thankful for what you have.
James bringing in the groceries.
Since Brianna is so used to feeding the masses she was the head chef and got everyone going. WE couldn't have done it without her.

Some of the youth putting together utensil packs.

The men were in charge of setting up all the beds.

My dad and Tim getting the food ready.

There is a lot of down time as you wait for the next wave of people to come.

Our Assembly line.

Our Dishwashers.

We served dinner to 150 people. The got grilled chicken, rice, veggies, a roll, and a parfait for dessert.

We can't really take pictures of all the homeless in the gym, but I snuck one of them getting food by the kitchen. It was a really meaningful time of serving together.
