So this last Saturday, Liana's school had a Jog-A-Thon. Way back when I signed us up to help, James was going to be the one to run with her. Well, once I knew that he was not going to be there, I should have started training. I am the first one to point out how out of shape I am. Well, it was a fun day and Liana ran 12 laps totalling 3 miles. Crazy, I know. Needless to say, I could not keep up with this little girl most of the time and she ran most of it by herself. By lap 10 she had slowed down enough for me to walk with her. I am fully aware of how bad this is making me sound, but it is the truth.
As soon as she finished, she sat down and told us that her legs really hurt.
Here we are at the starting line. The Jog-A-Thon lasted an hour.
We are gearing up to go. It was still really early so she was not really in the mood to be out of bed and then needing to run on top of it.
My mom was kind enough to step in for James to help out punching the cards. Here Liana is checking in.
They actually have two different times you can run. I signed up to help at the 7:30 and got stuck at the water table. The sun had not come out yet, so it was quite cold. Liana loved helping out too.
So here is my little track star. She was so stinkin cute. James will be so proud of her when he hears about this when he gets home.
I totally remember Jog-A-Thons! How much fun. =0) Liana is so cute! Oh, and I would have collapsed after half a lap, so don't feel bad. I just started doing a walking video because yes, there's nothing like walking in place in your living room with a toddler for thrills!
